I am a graduate student at the Psychology Department of Rice University with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction/Human Factors. The primary focus of my research is onĀ methodological challenges in the usability assessment. I work with Dr. Philip Kortum. My dissertation project focused on translating and validating the System Usability Scale into six influential languages in HCI research (Arabic, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Hindi, and Spanish). My Master’s thesis investigated the usability of home healthcare devices.
My past internship experience include UX Researcher internship at Google (2018), and Research internship at Facebook Reality Labs (2019).
I love traveling because I can observe walks of life in a different place and refresh my own perspective. I believe observing is important because understanding the users from a neutral and honest lens is the key to identifying the most valuable research opportunities.
